Analiese Pappas
SOPRANO
Meet Analiese
Soprano. Teacher. Storyteller.
After making her European debut as Flora in Britten’s The Turn of the Screw and a concert scenes performance as Ginevra in Handel’s Ariodante with Trentino Music Festival in Italy, Analiese returned to the Washington, D.C. metro area to continue singing and teaching voice and piano lessons while working towards her second bachelor’s degree in nursing. A versatile operatic, chamber, contemporary, and choral musician and recitalist, Analiese has been praised for her “silver soprano” voice and “limpid coloratura.” Most recently, Analiese returned to the Ward Virts Concert Series for a recital featuring Schubert’s Der hirt auf dem felsen (The Shepherd on the Rock) and opera scenes as Pamina in Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte. Analiese believes that the most important part of performing is establishing and nurturing a connection with the audience, and she strives to evoke and share stories when performing any musical genre.
