Praised for her “silver soprano” and “limpid coloratura,” Analiese Pappas is a versatile recitalist and opera, chamber, and choral musician currently based in the Washington, D.C. Metro Area. As an artist, Analiese seeks to share authenticity in song and bring stories to life onstage. Recent performance highlights include Flora (The Turn of the Screw) and Fiorella (The Brigands), along with scenes performances as Ginevra (Ariodante), Pamina (Die Zauberflöte), and Adele (Die Fledermaus).
Meet Analiese
Analiese made her international debut as Flora in Britten’s The Turn of the Screw with the Trentino Music Festival (2023) in Italy, under the baton of Maestro J. David Jackson from the Metropolitan Opera. Her festival performances also included scenes as Ginevra in Handel’s Ariodante, as well as aria concerts and several masterclasses. Currently based in the Washington, D.C. region, Analiese has performed concert scenes as Adele in Die Fledermaus (2023) and the role of Fiorella in Offenbach’s The Brigands with the Victorian Lyric Opera Company (2022). Additional previous operatic role highlights include Despina in Mozart’s Così fan tutte with the Atlantic Music Festival and a title role debut as Gretel in Humperdinck’s Hansel and Gretel at Northwestern University.
During the upcoming 2025-26 season, Analiese is excited to sing as a guest artist with the Friday Morning Music Club (FMMC), performing chamber and new music works at venues around Washington, D.C., and she joins Atelier Lyrique de Dordogne for a series of summer concerts featuring musical theatre cabaret, opera, and French chanson repertoire in the Périgord region of France. Additional details regarding upcoming performances and recitals will be announced at a later date.
An avid recitalist, Analiese returned to the Ward Virts Concert Series in 2024 for a recital featuring Schubert’s Der Hirt auf dem Felsen and selections from Jocelyn Hagen’s Songs of Fields and Prairies. She also has performed opera scenes as Pamina and Papagena (Die Zauberflöte, 2023, 2024) and Susanna (Le nozze di Figaro, 2023) for the series. In 2025, Analiese programmed and performed a collaborative recital featuring Monteverdi’s “Zefiro torna” and partially staged opera scenes, including “The Presentation of the Rose” (Der Rosenkavalier) and duets from Così fan tutte and La clemenza di Tito (2025). Throughout her experience, Analiese has performed at venues such as the National Cathedral, Willard InterContinental Hotel, and the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception.
Analiese holds a Bachelor of Music in Voice and Opera with departmental honors and a psychology minor from the Bienen School of Music (Northwestern University). At Northwestern, Analiese completed both the undergraduate and advanced graduate-level courses and teaching practicum in vocal pedagogy, as well as coursework in physiology and speech-language pathology. She integrates this knowledge and experience into her teaching and singing practice. Please continue reading for additional information about Analiese’s teaching (and singing) philosophy and send inquiries about voice and piano lessons through her contact form.
When she’s not singing…
Analiese holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) summa cum laude from the University of Maryland School of Nursing and is pursuing interests in neuroscience and cardiovascular critical care. Her nursing studies have increased her interests in the physiology of singing, nutrition, and holistic health. Analiese believes that just like athletes, singers must strengthen and support their physical, mental, and vocal health––in other words, a healthy singer produces a healthy voice. She implements these techniques in her own singing (and nursing!) practice and coaches her students to do the same. When she is not singing or working, Analiese enjoys time with friends and family, Pilates workouts, hiking, traveling, and exploring museums & coffee shops in the D.C. area!
